Not every historical record is available online. The Book of You can undertake research visits to archives and repositories in Dublin to investigate records that may otherwise be difficult to access. Archive research can be commissioned as a standalone service or form part of a wider genealogy or historical research project.

Need a record held at the National Archives of Ireland but cannot visit Dublin yourself? The Book of You can undertake research visits on your behalf to locate and examine relevant material and, where permitted, obtain copies or photographs of records. You will receive the records retrieved together with details of the source and, where appropriate, an explanation of what was found.

Discover where your ancestors lived and how a family, property or locality changed over time. Research can incorporate historical maps, Griffith's Valuation, Valuation Office material, land records and other sources to help identify properties, occupiers and locations connected with your family's story.
